Grants / support for charging facilities for housing associations and condominiums in Bergen municipality
Posted by KAROLINE OLSEN
Did you know that housing associations and condominiums in Bergen municipality can receive grants for upgrading/establishing charging infrastructure? Remember that you can apply for support to upgrade or establish charging infrastructure so that it becomes easier to charge at home.
The grants / support is a maximum of 20% of approved investment costs (infrastructure costs), and limited to NOK 5,000 per charging point (maximum NOK 200,000).
Application deadline
You can apply all year round. We process incoming applications on an ongoing basis.
Processing time
Expected processing time is 3 weeks from the submitted application.
Validity period
A commitment to an approved application is valid for 12 months. This means that the applicant has 12 months to carry out the measure and send a final report/notification of completion.
Criteria and guidelines
The support is only given to measures that have not started. You must apply for and be granted support before you order materials and services or start the construction work. Applications for projects that have already ordered equipment or are under construction or have already been established will therefore be rejected.
You can apply for support for this
• Establish or upgrade the electrical system associated with the charging infrastructure.
• Routing of cables to the individual charging points in the parking area.
• Install systems that enable several chargers to share courses in the electrical panel (load sharing).
• Costs for external consultancy and planning can be included in the grant-eligible costs. For advice relating to the choice of charging solutions for the housing association and electrical issues, the applicant must contact external expertise.
Criteria for receiving support
• Housing associations, condominiums and garage associations can apply for support, as long as they have an address in Bergen municipality and an organization number.
• Private individuals, public actors and companies that rent out parking spaces cannot apply for grants.
• Buildings under construction cannot apply for grants.
• You must apply for and be granted support before you order materials and services or start the construction work. Applications for projects that have already ordered equipment or are under construction or have already been established will therefore be rejected.
• Electrical work must be confirmed to have been carried out by an authorized installer.
• The grant is paid out after the work has been completed and a final report with a notification of completion has been delivered.
Guidelines
• Only fixed installations that the housing association or condominium itself owns can be supported.
• No grants are given for the actual charging point in the individual car park.
• Along with the application, a price offer from the supplier must be attached, where the costs of the charging infrastructure are stated.
• The scheme does not cover upgrading the transformer station (grid station). In many cases, it will be possible to install control tools that mean upgrading the transformer is not necessary and this is covered by the grant scheme. The scheme will cover the transformer for upgrading the charging system.
This is how you apply
Applications are sent through Bergen municipality's grant portal, which you can find by pressing the blue button "Go to application form". Here you must create a new user if this is the first time you are applying for a grant from the municipality. Together with the application, you must attach a price offer from the supplier, which shows the costs of the charging infrastructure.
