The universal home charging box
The Easee Charge UP charging station is small, lightweight, and a smart charging station, yet powerful enough to charge your car quickly as it supports up to 22 kW. The charging box is intelligent and adapts to all electric vehicles, supports all current levels (6-32A), and all power grids (IT, 230V/1+3-phase, TT, and TN 400V).

Easee Charge UP supports the following current levels and charging capacities (kW):

Easee Charge Up has the ability to switch between 1-phase and 3-phase charging via the app (software). This is useful if the car being charged does not support 3-phase charging on the IT grid. The charging box is equipped with a single Type 2 socket/outlet, allowing all types of rechargeable vehicles to charge from the station with the correct charging cable.

Intelligent safety Easee is passionate about safety and has therefore equipped the system with multiple temperature sensors on the incoming terminals, outgoing connectors, and within the PCB board itself, which alert you to any overheating.
	Automatisk self-test The charging box features an integrated residual current device (RCD) that performs self-tests between each charging session and at least once every 24-hour period. The charging station has more than 40 sensors that continuously monitor changes in current, voltage, temperature, and humidity— ensuring safe charging. The built-in safety mechanism also automatically resets every time the charging cable is disconnected from the station. This reduces downtime and the need for support and maintenance. The charging station automatically restarts after a power outage.
Automatic detection of wiring errors The charging box automatically checks the wiring after installation and alerts the electrician if an error is detected. Information and assistance are also provided via the Easee Installer App. This ensures that you can be confident the charging box is installed correctly and is safe to use.
	Notification of critical errors In the unlikely event of a critical error, the charging box will enter a safety mode and notify you with a red light, an alert in the Easee app, and an alarm signal if necessary.
No internal power cables The Easee charging box has no cluttered cables inside compared to traditional charging boxes. This reduces the risk of human error during installation and production.
	Always updated charging box The charging station automatically connects to the cloud solution and is continuously updated with the latest features via over-the-air (OTA) software updates. This ensures that you have purchased a secure and future-proof product. 4G/LTE is included in the purchase price.
Angled and self-draining socket The socket is angled at 45 degrees, allowing the charging cable to protrude less from the wall. This reduces the risk of external damage and ensures that the socket drains itself.

Reliable local control with Bluetooth®

With new Bluetooth functionality, you can control and monitor your charger locally without relying on cloud services or an internet connection. Cloud services will be available via 4G/LTE.

Future-Oriented — Easy Installation and Scalable

The Easee Charge UP charging system allows for multiple charging boxes, as communication between them is wireless. Adding more charging boxes to an existing installation is done by connecting them in series via the first charging box. This saves installation costs and ensures a cleaner appearance.

Configuration

With the Easee Installer App, configuring the charging box is quick and easy by programming the backplate via the NFC chip or Bluetooth.

Dynamic load balancing and phase balancing

Easee Charge UP fully utilizes the available electrical capacity with dynamic load balancing across all charging stations, ensuring maximum charging at all times. Load balancing supports up to 3 units per "system" and will function offline. The load and phase balancing optimize the available power for charging by:

• Monitoring the system's available charging current (requires Easee Equalizer)
  
• Ensuring the available charging current is distributed and used evenly
  
• Preventing overloads on circuits or set thresholds
  
• Balancing the power and phases of the charging stations

The load and phase balancing operate using proprietary wireless technology that requires no additional infrastructure (cabling), cloud connection, or internet. The first charging station configured becomes the main unit (master/primary) in the system. The other units (secondary) communicate with the main unit, allowing the available capacity to be automatically distributed among all connected units.

The charging boxes feature a soft start for charging, ensuring the circuit is not overloaded at the start of charging, thereby avoiding circuit breaker trips caused by high, short power surges.

Smart charging

New Advanced Metering and Control Systems (AMS), also known as AMS electricity meters, mean that in the future, electricity will be billed hourly. Easee Charge UP is smart and allows you to charge your vehicle(s) when electricity is cheapest while ensuring a fully charged car for departure. Similarly, you can easily override smart charging to start charging immediately if you need the car in a few hours. You can switch effortlessly between smart and fast charging in the app or by touching the charging box's touch sensor.

Charging with Solar Energy

Pairing your Easee charging box with an Easee Equalizer allows you to charge your car with clean, renewable energy. This can be done either without drawing power from the grid or with a combination of both, while balancing energy supply and demand in the power grid.

The charging box is very small and lightweight, equally suited for outdoor installation as well as inside a garage. It is designed to withstand the Norwegian climate with changing weather conditions and is IP54-certified.

User Access

You can activate access control on the Easee Charge UP, requiring activation through NFC/RFID or the Easee app. This ensures that unauthorized individuals cannot use your charging station(s).

Energy Consumption Measurement

Each charging station has a built-in energy meter that provides control and an overview of energy consumption via the app or the Easee cloud service. You can easily generate usage reports for each user or charging station. This allows you to have multiple users on a single charging station and still distribute energy costs fairly.

Application

The charging station comes with an app that makes it easy to monitor consumption, lock and unlock the charging cable, and schedule charging times. More features will be added over time, ensuring you always have full control of your Easee charging station. The app is available on the App Store or Google Play.

The Freedom to Choose Color

The charging station comes in black, but additional covers are available for purchase, allowing you to match it to your car or house.
