- NexBlue ZEN provides automatic dynamic load balancing of the main fuse of NexBlue Edge(s)

NexBlue Zen (Current sensor) is a practical device that reads the power consumption in real time and will optimize the consumption by dynamically load balancing the intake. ZEN also offers the option of charging in case of excess solar power. It is perfect for situations with and without smart meters and can communicate with NexBlue chargers via Wi-Fi, LAN or Nexus RF locally.
This means that you can use all the available power for electric car charging when the power consumption in the house is low. This is very practical when you have a small main fuse, or limited capacity if there is much else in the home that draws a lot of electricity.
ZEN is supplied in three different solutions, respectively CT clamps, P1 and HAN plug. The former is mounted on DIN rails in the fuse box and takes 3 modules.

NexBlue Zen is easily installed in the fuse box. With a simple configuration, NexBlue ZEN communicates with the charging station(s), via Nexus radio frequency, WiFi or LAN. The range of Radio RF is approximately 30-50 meters depending on location and built-up area.
Smart power management
NexBlue ZEN ensures that the charging of the car(s) takes place at the most convenient time, e.g. when the demand for electricity for other products is low in the home/building. The radio frequency communication between the ZEN and the Edge ensures that the automatic dynamic load balancing will continue to work if the connection to the cloud is lost, or if there is a problem with your wireless network.
The HAN / P1 port must be opened for the ZEN to receive data. This is done by contacting your network company and the procedure with the various network owners can be found here .
What is a HAN port?
The Home Area Network (HAN) is a separate physical output (port) on your new automatic current meter (AMS meter) in your fuse box. On these electricity meters there is a so-called HAN port which you can activate if the network company has enabled this. This port can give you detailed information about your power consumption. Easee Equalizer is compatible with all new AMS current meters in Norway with HAN port.
Where can I find the HAN port on the various smart meters?
There are mainly three different AMS / Smart meters that are used in Norway and below we have marked (red ring) where the HAN port is normally located on the three different models. Note that there are different models and the picture of the power meters may differ from the exact model you have.
According to the regulations on electrical equipment § 21, we are obliged to inform our customers that all electrical equipment intended to be part of a fixed electrical installation can only be installed by a registered installation company .
