Zaptec Pro + Backplate - Package

Zaptec Pro's charging system is built for the future with easy installation and great possibilities. Developed and manufactured in Norway with the easiest and cheapest installation possible in mind. Intelligent charging solution that combines the best hardware, advanced software that runs on the charging station itself, and is connected to a cloud solution for advanced configurations, monitoring and advanced algorithms. The solution is future-proof as new features are delivered through software updates to the charging station from the cloud solution.

Unique scalability and easy installation
The Zaptec Pro charging system shares a single power circuit and a power cable. The communication between the charging stations is via the power cable and connects to the internet (cloud) either via WiFi, 4G/LTE or through the power cable (via a PLC unit). This unique infrastructure makes it possible to start the installation with just a few chargers or just backplates and then expand to more charging stations as the need increases. The backplates can be mounted first and the charging stations can be connected later if desired. These must be purchased separately and are not included with the charging station.

Expanding an existing installation therefore does not require additional work or investment in the fuse box. The installer simply connects the charging station to the backplate and existing infrastructure (power cable) that is already laid.

Dynamic load and phase balancing

Zaptec Pro makes full use of the available electrical capacity with dynamic load and phase balancing across all charging stations.

Load balancing optimizes the power available to electric vehicles. It also saves electricity and provides safe charging that does not overload the network.

Phase balancing distributes the load evenly across all phases. Prevents uneven distribution of the load and provides optimal utilization of the network capacity. This provides benefits such as:

• Distributing the power load across the 3 different phases as evenly as possible
• Prevents unbalanced load in the charging system
• Utilizes up to 66% of available power better
• The charging stations automatically switch from 3-phase to 1-phase and vice versa

All this makes it possible to charge up to 100 cars in a day on a single 63A power course (3-phase TN). It also means that you can charge with up to 22kW (32A/3-phase) at all charging stations. Soft start ensures that the power grid is not overloaded at the start of charging and thus you also avoid fuses tripping due to high and short current pulses.

Timed power control
Zaptec Pro's newest feature is the ability to set a schedule for available electricity. This way you can easily regulate electricity consumption at given times, which is very practical when the power tax comes in 2019 in connection with the new AMS electricity meters.

Safety in mind
Zaptec Pro has a specially designed type 2 connector that drains the connector. The charging station comes with built-in electronic earth fault protection type B that ensures detection of DC and earth faults, and is reset every time the charging plug is pulled out. from the connector. This reduces downtime and the need for support and maintenance. With series-connected relays and detector circuits, voltage is not applied if a fault should occur in the system's safety relay. At the same time, the charging station detects overvoltage and has integrated fuses (3x32A type C). Temperature sensor and electronic monitoring of the current flow in the charging station ensure safe charging, and will initially lower the charging current if it detects heat (>50°C) and automatically notify, as well as interrupt charging if something goes wrong. The charging station restarts automatically in the event of a power failure.

Fair Use
Each Zaptec Pro can authenticate the user through NFC/RFID or Zaptec App. At the same time, it measures accurate power consumption via the built-in power meter, which provides control and overview of power consumption via app or web portal/cloud. Likewise, the use of charging stations located in a shared garage or parking lot can be assigned and paid for by each individual user. The queuing system ensures fair distribution of available power.

Zaptec Pro is compatible with all electrical installations, all power grids and all electric vehicles, so you can be confident that your investment will last for many years to come.

Communication
Zaptec Pro communicates with the cloud solution via either 4G/LTE WiFi, PLC or WiFi. 4G/LTE is included in the charging box and provides load and phase balancing.

Digital tools - cloud solution and application
Zaptec Pro also comes with Zaptec's web portal and Zaptec App, which gives you full control and overview of the installation. All data is in the cloud and is therefore available to you and your customers no matter where you are. Zaptec Pro supports most communication protocols and is designed to be online. The built-in payment solution can be easily activated in the app. Zaptec Pro can thus pay for itself - and after a while become an attractive source of income.

Forward-looking

Zaptec Pro is ready for future challenges as it is software-based and can be upgraded over the internet. The cloud solution is built on Microsoft Azure which ensures uptime and stability.
