SPARK is the market's most innovative and attractive portable charging solution for charging your electric car of plug-in hybrid quickly both at home and on the go. The charging cable fits perfectly for e.g. Hyundai IONIQ / KONA, Kia Soul, Opel Ampera-e and Nissan LEAF which supports up to 32A/1-phase charging (7,4kW).
The SPARK Blue charging cable is mode 2 with blue CEE 32A/230V 3-pin industrial plug (232-6) and has either type 1 or type to 2 against the car, which provides the option of charging with up to 7,4kW. It combines ease of use with high security. The charging cable has one of the market's smallest control boxes with 7,5kW power. The control electronics (EVSE) performs a self-diagnosis when it is connected to the mains and will display an error code via a flashing LED light. The self-diagnosis includes:
- Continuous monitoring of the cables between the power grid and EVSE
- Continuous monitoring of the cables between EVSE and vehicle
- Continuous monitoring for earth faults and of the voltage- In the event of an overvoltage or detection of an earth fault, the vehicle is disconnected within 40ms
- Earth fault circuit breaker type A w/ detection of pulsating and smooth direct current (DC-RCM 6mA) which is in accordance with NEK400.
- Continuous monitoring of coupling elements
- Integrated protection against overheating
The charging cable is constructed in accordance to IEC 62196 and IEC 61851-1 and fulfills all security requirements.
SPARK is equipped with the ability to adjust the charging current between the following steps: 6A/10A/16A/20A/25A/32A. This is useful for cars that do not have this option via the car or charging on smaller courses. Following the latest charging directives, the control box is located 30cm from the wall socket, to ensure that the cable will not be live when the car is fully charged or not in use. The charging cable has a memory function which means that it remembers the last set charging strength if it is disconnected from the industrial socket.
The charging cable can also be supplied with other 32A industrial plugs, for example 332-9 (32A/230V 3-phase) and 432-6 (32A/400V 3-phase).
