SPARK Charger is a charging cable type 2 (charging station) to type 2 (the car) for charging of electric cars and plug-in hybrids (PHEV) from charging boxes without a fixed charging cable. This supports up to 32A 1/3- Phase (22kW) and has been developed and designed with a focus on safety. It is class-leading within UL and CE certified equipment which is recognized, reliable and proven. The charging cables are built in accordance with all important regional standards- IEC for Europe and J1772 for America.
SPARK Charger fits all electric cars and plug-in hybrids with type 2 charging ports (e.g. Renault ZOE, Polestar, Volkswagen, BMW and Tesla Model S/X/3/Y) and fits charging stations with type 2 outlet/connector. The charging cable is secured against theft and supports both auto lock. The charging cable will also lock itself to the charging station during charging and cannot be detached by unauthorized persons. The charging gun/ plug has a patterned handle for better grip. It also features a drainage hole in the bottom of the charging gun/ the plug which eliminates the possibility of the plug freezing in the socket. The charging cable uses HELU cable from Germany which has been tested in various climates staying soft and easy to handle- even in many subzero temperatures. At the same time, it is robust and can withstand being run over.

Questions and Answers
Do I need a Type 2 to Type 2 cable?
The need depends on your usage pattern and whether you live around places that have installed charging points with a Type 2 outlet. More of these areas can be found in Oslo because it provides increased security. At the same time, there is quite a bit of wear and tear, increased maintenance costs and a overwhelming use of the schuko contact. Thus it is only a matter of time before the majority of charging points in the capitol consist of type 2 connectors. If you have both this cable and a mode 2 charging cable (e.g. the supplied charging cable) in the car, you can charge your car in most places.
How do I use the type 2 to type 2 charging cable?

Which amperage of the charging cable should I choose? 32A or 16A?
Generally speaking it is advised a 32A charging cable, as it is more future-oriented if you decide to change your electric car or plug-in hybrid at a later time.
Will a 32A charging cable operate with a 16A charging station and cars with a maximum of 16A charger?
Yes, it is backwards compatible and a 32A charging cable will work with 16A charging stations. Cars with a maximum 16A onboard charger will also work with a 32A charging cable, however, will only charge at a maximum of 16A.
